The project, Silent Sentries, was initiated by Greg Decker, secretary RARA, and after numerous discussions with the NMW Management Committee the design as presented and amended by Greg Decker was accepted. A grant was applied for under Saluting their Service (DVA) and approved. Silent Sentries was installed in April 2025.
The Southern Sentry shows the Golden Soldier figure and the Operational Deployment for the Regiment from 1948 to 2021
The Northern Sentry shows the Golden Soldier figure, Combat Operational Awards, Battle Honours and Regimental Honours
The Silent Sentries are positioned on the Northern and Southern End of the Western forecourt of the Contemplation Building
